Regardless, I recommend this buffet to you there's a huge quantity of food available, and the quality is well above average, especially for SW Florida.Īmazing buffet, with a super large selection. The sushi was OK, but we've had far better in suburban Philadelphia. The sushi rolls were wrapped loosely, so that they fell apart upon lifting. An earlier reviewer said the sushi was every bit as good as that found in New York. Service was attentive, Plates were cleared almost immediately. Desserts included ice cream, pudding, and several types of cake. The price was right-$13.75 for the dinner buffet $9.99 for the lunch buffet. Jing Du comes about as close as possible to a good buffet restaurant as we're likely to find here during our lifetime. My wife and I have spent the month of February in Fort Myers for approximately the past 20 years and have never really found a decent Chinese, Japanese, or Thai restaurant in all that time. Bring your friends and family, and enjoy.Īs a rule, I'm not a fan of Asian buffet restaurants, so I wasn't too sure I wanted to try this one, until I read some of the very positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Would recommend the Jing Du in Fort Myers for casual, inexpensive and family buffet type dining. I left a "normal " tip anyways, I always wonder what to leave as a tip when you eat at a buffet. The only small concern I had was that the wait staff had to be asked to come to our table as they walked by, but it is a buffet. The atmosphere is casual, family style buffet dining. The price is right here, the food was delicious, fresh and hot. Overall, great experience. My friends and I took our time, we relaxed and we talked for hours and never felt we were being rushed out the door. The Hostess was very accommodating when I asked to move my party to a table, rather than a booth. The atmosphere is very informal and loud ,with lots of foot traffic, but that is to be expected with any buffet, right? The Staff was very helpful when asked for assistance. Good variety of desserts for the kids too. The Restaurant has both Japanese and Chinese buffet lines.personally, I spent most of my time in the Chinese line and found the food variety plentiful and hot. We're coming back here, next time we're in Fort Myers. And very impressed with the reasonable prices, about $14 per Adult and about $7 per child ( dinner time ). I was pleasantly surprised on both the quality and quantity of food available here. Went to Jing Du for dinner with friends in March 2015.
